Day 8 - Sugar Plum

Sure, it looks festive and pretty, but look closer. Follow the tangle of yarn to the crossed pick-up sticks and you'll find the sad proof that today's project couldn't be finished on time. Oh well. I'll try to finish it tomorrow and post an update.

Its by no means an original project, but I'm trying to knit one of those teeny, tiny little sweater ornaments. I was looking for a cute project in honor of one of my lovely nieces who has a birthday today. I was inspired by this photo of a lamb in a sweater, which made me envision an entire nativity scene with all the animals in tiny sweaters. In the end I settled on just making one tiny pink sweater, but the arms are giving me trouble, so I think I better sleep on it and take another crack at it tomorrow.

Luckily, I picked up a couple of grab bags of ornaments at the St. Vincent de Paul store today so I could at least make a little still life. Happy birthday, Sugar Plum!
